Get Involved with Our Cause
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without volunteers we could not provide our community with the extensive services and programs we currently offer. Volunteers provide essential assistance in the administration of each department division, serve on committess, work with staff to meet the needs of our members and participants, and provide many other valuable contributions to the organization.
Our YMCA offers year-round volunteer opportunities for members and non-members from the community and surrounding areas to give back and help build a better community within our Y. Opportunities range throughout the year and are based upon need within a program or department. Our manual is designed to guide and assist Volunteers and Volunteer Supervisors to effectively share the message of the Y.
Plan to volunteer and get involved in making our community a better place. For more information about volunteering with our Y, email Adrienne Payton, Events and Volunteer Director at email@example.com or call 252-638-8799 x239.
Adrienne Payton will be in contact with you within 48 hours for follow up once application is submitted.

Coaches will assist children during soccer, flag football, and sports classes to learn skills and abilities to allow them to excel in the sport. No previous experience required.
One weeknight practice and Saturday games will be required each week from 9/11-11/4. Once registration is complete and teams are set, a schedule will be relayed to volunteers via Eric Zudweg, Sports Director.

At the Y, we’re dedicated to strengthening community by giving back and supporting our neighbors.
And we know that members like you have lots of ideas and the desire to reach out to make positive changes in our community.
That’s why we invite you to participate in Togetherhood, a program that gives Y members the opportunity to select, plan and lead meaningful community service projects that benefit people and organization right here in our neighborhood!
Togetherhood invites members to participate in the Y’s cause to strengthen community. Collecting school supplies, donating blood, or running a park clean up are just some of the countless ways Y members and their friends and families can come together in service to their community.
Neighbors and community partners are engaged in our cause and work side by side to identify and address community needs.
Members enhance their well-being, forge new friendships and discover a greater sense of purpose.
Ys can better demonstrate their community benefit as a charitable organization.
The Y nurtures meaningful friendships among people from diverse backgrounds to contribute to a stronger and more inclusive society.
Plan to volunteer and get involved in making our community a better place. To request additional information, to volunteer or have a question answered, email email@example.com
